Cleaning & Handling
- Daily Cleaning: Wipe the ring with a soft, damp cloth and fresh water. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the finish.
- Chemical Exposure: The ring’s molding polymer can withstand short-term exposure to acetone (e.g., nail polish remover), but it is best to rinse it with water immediately after contact.
- UV Resistance: The materials are UV-stable and will not be damaged or discolored by sunlight exposure.
Water Resistance & Environments
- Rating: The Vocci Ring is IP67 rated, meaning it is protected against solid particles larger than 1mm.
- Water Precautions: It is not waterproof for submersion.
- Avoid: Swimming, saunas, ice baths, or any prolonged soaking.
- Moisture: Ensure the charging port is completely dry and clean before docking the ring in its case.
Best Practices for Use
Optimizing Audio Quality
- Versatile Orientation: You can wear the ring in any direction on your finger.
- Directional Audio: For the highest quality recording at a distance, point the microphone toward the sound source. The microphone and the indicator light sit on opposite sides of the button, so only one of them can face the sound source at a time; aim the microphone.
- Close-Range: If you are recording yourself or speaking near the ring, the orientation does not significantly impact audio clarity.
Travel & Safety
- Security Scanners: You can safely wear your Vocci Ring through airport X-ray machines, metal detectors, and full-body scanners. There is no need to remove it at security checkpoints.
- Physical Safety: Be cautious when lifting or moving heavy objects. To prevent the ring from getting caught or causing injury, consider removing it when working with fixed structures or heavy machinery.
Charging Safety
- Temperature: Never charge the ring in high-temperature environments (e.g., a hot car or near a heater).
- Liquid Danger: Do not connect the charger if the ring or case is currently exposed to water or in a high-humidity area.
