Pairing Your Vocci Ring

Connecting your ring is a simple process, but it requires the hardware to be "awake" and available. Follow these steps for a successful setup.

Activate Your Ring (The "Wake Up")

Before your first pairing, the Vocci Ring must be activated from its shipping mode.

• Action: Place the ring in the charging case and connect the case to a USB power source.
• Confirmation: The LED on the ring will light up, confirming it is powered on and ready.

Prepare Your Device

• Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is turned on in your mobile device settings.
• Proximity: Keep your Vocci Ring close to your phone (within 1 meter).

Connect via the Vocci App

• Account Creation: Open the Vocci App and create your secure profile by signing up with your Email.
• Initiate the Scan: From the Sessions control panel, locate the pairing banner at the top of your timeline and tap the "Pair Device" button to activate the phone's localized radar scanning.
• Position and Prepare: Bring your Vocci Ring within close proximity (within 1 meter) to your mobile device. Ensure the ring is adequately charged and verifying that its internal LED indicator is in a breathing state.
• Identify the Node: Once the application identifies your hardware node (displayed alongside its unique device address), tap the prominent "Pair Now" button to request an encrypted connection.
• Physical Hardware Confirmation: To prevent unauthorized or accidental linking, a "Confirm your device" modal will appear with a 60-second countdown protocol. Simply press the physical interactive button on the ring body to securely finalize the pairing architecture.

Troubleshooting: If the Ring is Not Found

If your ring does not appear in the app during pairing, please check these two common scenarios:

Is the Ring Activated?

If you haven't docked the ring and connected it to power yet, it will remain in "Sleep Mode." The ring does not broadcast a Bluetooth signal until it has been activated via the charging case at least once.

Is the Battery Depleted?

If the ring was previously activated but the battery has dropped to a critical level, the device will enter "Shutdown Mode." In this state, it stops all Bluetooth broadcasting to protect the internal battery health.

• Solution: Place the ring in the charging case to wake it up and ensure it has enough power to establish a connection.

Is it Connected to Another Device?

The Vocci Ring follows a "One-to-One" connection rule. To protect your data, it can only be linked to one mobile device at a time.

• If your ring was previously paired with another phone (or a tablet), it will be "invisible" to your current device.
• Solution: Turn off Bluetooth on the other device or "Unpair" the ring from that device's app settings to make it available for a new connection.

Is the Ring Within Range?

For a secure and stable pairing process, the Vocci Ring has a Bluetooth broadcast range of approximately 2 meters (6 feet).

• Solution: Ensure the ring is placed immediately next to your phone during the pairing process. If the ring is across the room, the app will not be able to detect it.
