Manage Files in Base

The Base tab serves as your centralized library for all cloud-synced recordings, summaries, and notes.

Important Note: Only audio files that have been saved to the cloud will appear in Base. If you cannot find a specific recording, please go to the Sessions tab to ensure cloud storage is complete.

Importing Files

To bring external audio files into your Vocci library for transcription or AI analysis:

1. Tap the Base icon in the bottom navigation bar.

2. Click the "+" (Plus) icon at the bottom right of the screen.

3. Select the Import option to choose a file from your mobile device.

Sharing Audio Files

To send your recordings to other apps or people:

1. In the Base list, tap the specific recording you wish to share.

2. Tap the Three-Dot Menu (•••) in the top right corner.

3. Select "Open in Other App".

4. This will trigger your phone's native share sheet (AirDrop, Messages, Mail, etc.). Select your preferred destination.

Deleting Files

Caution: Deleting a file from Base is permanent.

1. Open the recording you wish to remove.

2. Tap the Three-Dot Menu (•••) in the top right corner.

3. Tap the red "Delete File" button.

4. A confirmation dialog will appear. Tap Confirm to permanently delete the recording.

Note: Once deleted, if the recording was already transcribed, the transcript and audio will no longer be playable.

Organizing with Stars

You can quickly prioritize important files by tapping the Star icon next to any recording in the Base list or within the three-dot menu. Use the "Starred" filter at the top of the Base screen to view only your most important notes.
