How to Manage Auto-Upload & Auto-Transcription

Auto-Upload and Auto-Transcription

Both auto-upload and auto-transcription are off by default. To use them, enable Auto-Upload to Cloud first, then Auto-Transcription in Settings.

Recordings transfer from your Vocci Ring to your phone when the ring is connected and the app is open. Cloud upload and transcription depend on the settings below:

1. Auto-Upload: When enabled, recordings transferred to your phone are automatically uploaded to the cloud.
2. Auto-Transcription: When enabled, transcription begins automatically after the upload is complete.

3. Language detection: The app automatically detects the language spoken in each recording and transcribes it accordingly.

You can change these settings at any time:

• To turn off automatic uploads, disable Auto-Upload to Cloud in Settings. Turning off Auto-Upload also turns off Auto-Transcription.
• To turn off automatic transcription, disable Auto-Transcription in Settings.
• To change the transcription language, go to Settings → Target Transcription Language.

If auto-upload or auto-transcription is disabled, you can manually upload or transcribe individual recordings from the recording page.

Important Considerations

Before enabling this feature, please keep the following in mind:

Token Consumption: Auto-transcription processes every newly uploaded file. This will consume your AI minutes and tokens, even for recordings you may not have intended to convert.

Resource Management: If you prefer to be selective about which recordings are transcribed to save your AI minutes, we recommend keeping this feature OFF and starting transcriptions manually.
